Samuel Johnson said, "Life is a progress from want to want, not from enjoyment
to enjoyment."
My Oyster members come from all over the world bringing with them rich
experiences from all kinds of backgrounds and areas of expertise. The members
speak many languages and represent many nationalities. My Oyster members are
bound by a shared set of values and a culture of support, care, trust, respect,
interdependence along with the passion to help.
My Oyster constantly seeks new ideas, opportunities and ways of working to meet
its values. We help to explore opportunities, interact with other members and
to help members lead a fulfilling life as valued members of the wider
community.
We will at all times deal in a fair, transparent and honest manner with our
members, suppliers, our staff and the community in general. We will endeavour
at all times to provide value to our members, deliver on our promises and
provide leadership in engaging with the community.
We will not conduct ourselves in a manner detrimental to the members or that
which will lead to My Oyster's reputation being tarnished.
We believe in teamwork and collaboration as we can achieve better results
through collaboration than as individuals.
We are not perfect and as such there will be occasions when mistakes will be
made. We will rectify any issues brought to our attention as our number one
priority is to serve you.
My Oyster has an Advisory Board currently composed of a medical doctor
specialising in emergency medicine based in Sydney, a retired senior public
servant, a former merchant banker based in Melbourne, a barrister from Canberra
and the CEO of a successful IT business - Paradigm IT. The Advisory Board
provides guidance, advice and the operational transparency to ensure My Oyster
is a good corporate citizen. Advisory Board members will be rotated with new
appointments each year.
